Veg Dimsum Recipe (Steamed)
Ingredients (for 12–15 dimsum):
For the Dough / Wrappers:

1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

½ cup water (adjust as needed)

Pinch of salt
For the Filling:
-
1 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (carrot, cabbage, capsicum, beans)

2–3 spring onions, chopped
-
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
-
1 tsp soy sauce
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp cornflour
-
Salt to taste
-
1 tsp oil
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Dough (if making wrappers at home)

Mix flour, salt, and water to form a smooth, soft dough.

Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20–30 mins.
Step 2: Prepare the Filling

Heat oil in a pan, sauté ginger-garlic paste for 30 seconds.

Add chopped vegetables and spring onions, stir-fry 3–4 mins.

Add soy sauce, pepper, salt, and cornflour. Mix well and cook until slightly dry.

Let the filling cool.
Step 3: Shape the Dimsum

Roll small balls of dough and flatten into small circles (or use ready-made dumpling wrappers).

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center.

Fold the edges and pleat to seal the dimsum.
Step 4: Steam the Dimsum

Heat water in a steamer.
-
Place dimsum on parchment paper or a lightly greased plate.
-
Steam for 8–10 mins until the wrappers turn slightly translucent.
Step 5: Serve

Serve hot with soy sauce, chili sauce, or schezwan sauce.
